OK Expert DISers.

A co-worker just gave me a bag of clothes that her DS has outgrown, for my DS. They are all in great condition. One of the shirts has a spot on it, and what she thinks is that there was a sticker there, he took off the sticker but the residue got washed (or not) and then dried and baked on. Anyone got any great ideas for getting it off?

Try some acetone (fingernail polish), hairspray or Lestoil. None of those things should affect the color.

I've used hairspray to remove ink, but never sticker residue. That's a new one to me! And we never have acetone in the house because DH detests the odor. I have to buy the acetone free nail polish remover. :p

We attend a church that likes everyone to wear name tags at services - so I have a LOT of experience with missed stickers getting washed & dried on clothing. :( (And not just because of the kids! ;) ) Anyway, I've had real success with a product called "Goo-Gone". It's worked every time for me! I can't say though that we've ever had something that we didn't treat after the first, or maybe second, washing.

I've gotten it at both a local hardware store & our local Wal-Mart.

I used Goo-gone to remove stickers from my DD chairs. I just checked the bottle and it says it is safe for clothing. :)
