Laundry facility usage at DVC resorts? (free?)

Are the laundry facilities free at DVC resorts? I'll be staying at SSR in a Studio later this year, and am hoping this is the case!

Yes, they are free to guests of SSR. All DVC resorts are the same.

That is good news, we are staying for 9 days in August and will probably have to do some laundry.

One benefit we found being members is we can pack a LOT less clothing. One box detergent is stocked in the one and two bedrooms, more available for a buck a box. The laundry room has dispensing machine for those in studios.

Just be aware that, at least at BCV, the machines will still have coin slots to push in to start the machines so it looks as if you are expected to pay. However, you just push the slot-holders in without adding coins.

we found that the BWV only had 1 place to do laundry on the 2 floor i think and they only had 4 washers and 4 dryers, everytime i went down it was busy, needless to say thank goodness we had extra clothes and we didnt have major spills.lol

Hmmm, that did take a while to figure out as I recall. Felt like an idiot tying to put quarters in.. Fortunately, the place was empty when I recycled my suitcase last Jan. Maybe I just got lucky.

Guest laundry is cleverly hidden on the 4th floor, has two washers, 3 dryers, and a tv. Sure do love the one bedrooms.

I believe BWV has a laundry room on every floor. On the first floor they are right near the exercise room on the same side. I think the studio across from the laundry room is 1078, but it's been awhile since I stayed there, so I may be wrong on the number.

This is good to know! (Frozenfingers--I'd be standing there for a long time trying to stick quarters in the machines, too!!!)

Those coin slots are actually what prompted my question! I thought I could make coin slots out in a picture of the SSR laundry room that I saw on "AllEarsNet", and it made me wonder if I was dreaming that the laundry room had free washers & dryers for us...

The machines at SSR have the coin mechanism but the coin slots are plugged so you can't put coins in them.

i was there last week and lugged my laundry all the way to the first floor from the 5th! (well, i did use the elevator but it was quite the walk from my room LOL)

i thought this was the only laundry room?

they also had the coin slots, and i knew they were free and still looked like an idiot trying to get the washer going luckily it was 11pm and i was alone.

To my knowledge, the only laundry room @ BWV is the one on the first floor, taking a right around the corner after you exit the elevators and then on the left side of the hallway.

BWV only has one laundry room , i called the front desk twice and was told 1 laundry room, matter of fact it is set up like bcv so i think they only had 2 washers and 4 dryers. and it was probably on the first floor, i just remember it was either the first or second right around from the elevators. we had sometime to relax and i thought i would do a load and then i wouldnt have to wash when we got home.

Just got back from our BWV stay in a studio and used the free laundry facilities.

Laundry room is on the first floor near the exercise room. When you get off the elevator turn right and its the first green door on your left.

The room has 3 washers and 6 dryers. Soaps are for sale in the dispenser machine.

Never had a problem waiting for a machine.
