Laundry facilities at POR?

Flying down for DW vacation from may 6-12 at POR. Do most people just bring enough clothing for a whole week or are the laundry facilities fairly convenient? Does each bldg at POR have its own laundry room? Will be hard to pack enough for a whole week with diapers, wipes, bathing suits, and other stuff taking up space. Suggestions?

There are laundry facilities by the "quiet" pools. I just did laundry one evening while the kids swam. Easy enough - and doing laundry at Disney doesn't seem near as bad as doing laundry at home. We were there in August and due to sweat and nasty stuff like that, you really need 2 outfits a day and with all the luggage restrictions, I didn't want to go overboard.

We always use the laundry rooms at POR, we find it the best way to pack lighter, with all of the luggage restrictions and costs now-a-days. Usually we strike up conversations with other people about their trips and/or families and things! It's not so bad doing laundry while in Disney, doesn't necessarily seem like a chore!

We do our laundry about mid week on our trips. Since the laundries at POR are by the quiet pool, depending on the time of day I'll either swim a little or sit at a table with a book or my journal while the clothes are doing their thing. If you use the Purell sheets, they take up little room in your luggage, and are easier to manage than bringing your own powder detergent (I used to put pre-measured detergent into zip lock bags). And certainly cheaper than buying from the machines in the laundry room.

About your diaper issue (hmm, that didn't sound right) have you considered ordering them to be delivered to your resort, instead of trying to pack enough for the whole week?

Hate to say it but, even I do laundry on vaca. Like the PP's stated, yes it is near the quiet pool. This is a huge plus & our last 3 trips we were lucky enough to be right near it. POR magnolia Mansion, CSR Casitas 4, PoP - 50's bldg, facing pool. Kids & I swim, Wife will put the laundry in, then head back to room a lil while later. I'd stay , then put the wash in dryer, Then wait to fold. It's a quick 1-2-3. Usually do them just past the 2/3rd mark of the trip..HtH.

I always do laundry on vacation, with 3 children there clothes can get messy. Any time we are swimming I put a load in the wash. Nice and simple!
