Laundry facilities at GF?

We are staying in the SugarLoaf building. With four kids, wondering if there are laundry facilities nearby where I could do a quick load in the evenings...any info on this???

If not, it will mean i'm packing more clothes!

I'm pretty sure there's a small laundry room on the first floor of each building. We stayed in Big PIne Key and they had one.

There are indeed laundry facilities on the first floor of each building. I think there are a couple of machines and dryers. They sell soap, too. But last time we stayed there, you had to get change either at the front desk, or from the change dispenser in the Gasparilla Grill arcade.

My wife and I stayed at the GF for two weeks to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary a few years back. I packed a week's worth of clothes and spent a night doing laundry. It was a blessing, believe me!

One night, we had a torrential downpour, and a lot of people got SOAKED. The dryers were running overtime that night!

Actually Sugar Loaf doesn't have washers/dryers. You'll be directed to Conch Key which does have one of those mini laundry rooms....2 washers/2 dryers and not much room to move. I was told that when they added the concierge area to Sugar Loaf, the mini laundry was a casualty.

Besides change another problem is getting into Conch Key once the buildings are locked. I did a load in the very early am and had to find a CM to let me into Conch Key. Plus with only two washers, it can be a pain. In my college years and single laundromat years I never had to remove someone else's laundry. But at 6am facing two full washers that had obviously been left overnight.... I did it. Yuck. Piled the clothes on top of the machine for the inconsiderate guest to retrieve whenever they awakened.
