Laundry Experts...Need some help!!

Ok, my DH managed to get Sharpie ink ALL over his work shirt, and I need some help on how to get it out. Anyone have any advice, it is in the washer now, but it wont go through the dryer at all..

Any advice on what I can use?

I use Sharpies as laundry markers. I guess that's the bad news. I don't even think that hairspray will take it out.

You can try hairspray(it's the alcohol in it that I think works) or you can just use Alcohol wipes. That should get it to budge a bit. Then work at it with a stain spray of somekind like Zout. - or you use a toothbrush with some dish soap(like Dawn- the grease cutting aspect is what helps) and use that after the alcohol wipes.

Worth a shot.

If you know anyone who uses Melaleuca products, get some SoluMel.

I used to get lots of permanent ink on clothes at work and I found an item in the automotive department worked best for taking it out.....think it is called "simply green"......or something green. It's in a spray bottle.

not kidding!

it takes ink out of a lot of different types of cloth.

I got Sharpie on my good tan work pants...I was so mad! I used alcohol wipes and lots of hairspray along with Totally Toddler stain spray. It did get most of the Sharpie out after several treatments.
