What kind of laundry detergent do you use in the villas? We have a 2 bedroom at VGF and would like to pick a couple extra up.

I usually use the box they leave, plus bring along a bottle of Tide with Bleach alternative liquid.

We bring along the purex pods. That way I don't worry about them spilling in my luggage. Loved the purex sheets but they are no longer available.

I bring along TidePods for the laundry and Bounce dryer sheets.

I buy something (powder) at the dollar store and ziploc it up so if it breaks open in the luggage (it never has) it won't make a mess. I still have some Purex sheets and will use those until they are used up (those were great for this).

I bring the pods, but they can break. I had them in a bag thank goodness. If you take them you may want to put them in a small Tupperware.

I also use the pods but I put them in a disposable plastic container to prevent getting crushed

Agreed, I generally pack mine in a small knock-off Tupperware-type container. Earlier this year I toted some to South Africa stuffed into the toes of my hiking boots -- that worked just as well. They traveled just fine!

We keep Tide Pods and unscented Bounce sheets in our owner's locker.

I used the Purex sheets too, but can't find them anymore. I bought some arm and hammer pods - but they are powder not liquid. I am packing them in a ziplock along with dryer sheets too.

I've seen the 3 in 1 sheets at WM recently locally and they are available on amazon.

I didn't like the purex sheets. Our clothes just didn't smell clean when they came out of the wash. I like the pods. So far, no problems.

This is exactly what I do. Pods in a small Tupperware. This is a lifesaver at DvC and anywhere we travel. Also the crystal fabric softener is perfect for traveling too.

We bring the pods and also love the Shout Color Catcher sheets. I don't like to sort my laundry when I'm on vacation and the color catchers are great when you throw all the colors in together.

The machines are regular (non-HE) units.

Does every DVC resort have the same machines? We were at BCV in a studio last week and when I did laundry, the machines seemed very new (dark grey ones, unfortunately I don't remember the brand) and I remember seeing that they are HE compatible.
