Laundry detergent tabs.. where to find?

I know I read somewhere that they make laundry detergent tablets. I looked in Wal Mart and couldn't find any and I know this would be the perfect solution for our trip. We'll be gone for 2 weeks so I know there will be some laundry to be done.

Does anyone know where I can get these?

I just found some yesterday at our local Roche Bros Supermarket. My understanding is the only brand now being sold is Purex.

Maybe call all the supermarket chains in your area and you may get lucky. They are definately harder to find then a few years ago.

I saw some in Big Lots yesterday. I usually get the liquid (its a preferance thing) so I didn't pick them up, but I was thinking of you guys on the Dis when I saw them!!!!

Thank you. We don't have a Roche Bros but I will definitely check out Big Lots.

Normally I only use liquid too but I think I can put up with the tablets for a couple of washings.

I found them in Walmart. A box of 24 was under $3.00. Michelle

I found Purex brand tablets at Walmart but then the next week, there were none left and haven't seen any since. Don't know why?

Also, found Wisk tablets in the travel section at CVS. They contained 2 tablets per box. Boxes for 2 for $1.00.

I went to Big Lots today and I did find the tabs (Tide) but only in a big box ~ 115 loads! It was $9.99 and I felt a bit much for what I needed so I passed on it.

We also have been looking for the tabs. They are so great when you go on trips.

Here in New York City, I've been to Target, CVS, ShopRite and Pathmark. Oh and some small independent places too! NO one has those tablets anymore. One stock clerk told me they don't order them because 1. they didn't sell except in the summer (duhhhh...) and 2. they have become hard to come by.

Now last year I did find the "2 per Box" in CVS. Not this year.

Store Locator ...... try this and maybe it will help you out finding the laundry tabs in your area. I had to use a 50 mile range to locate who sells them around me.

Oh thank you for the store locator. I found that our Fred Meyer stores here carry them so I will check them out.

I always see them in Fred Meyer here. (You must be close to me!!) They are close to the color bleaches, at the very top edge of the laundry detergents. Just don't take my box!

Have you tried Keyfood supermarket, I know that the one in Brooklyn had them(both purex and tide) . I got the wisk tablet at the 99c store also they had the little boxes of detergents (tide,cheers,gain and downey) I like them better because sometimes the tablets leaves a little powder residue in my clothes...

I did see them in Fred meyer and purchased a box. I'm in Medford so about 3 hours south of you. You know if someone has a Freddies they're on the West Coast!

like the ones in the laundromat? i can usually get them in the 99-cent store, usually 2 for $1 or less, depending on where u live. they're thin & sturdy, good fit for the suitcase
