Laundry Detergent Provided?

We are staying in a 1 bedroom villa on a cash reservation. Do they provide laundry detergent for the washing machine? If so, how much? And is it restocked by housekeeping? Thanks!

No, you will have to provide your own after the first box. You can ask but it is not guaranteed.

I'm not sure what is provided in a villa, but they do sell it in a vending machine in the laundry rooms. We brought Tide pods and dryer sheets from home in a Ziplock bag. They also sell travel size laundry supplies at your local Target, as well as the Target in Kapolei if you plan to stop for groceries.

Agree with nkereina. Tide pods are the easiest. That's what we always bring.

Cash reservations - yes they give you small sachets of washing detergent.They also replenish those daily if they notice you’ve used them.

And if you need more in a hurry, I believe the store near the entrance sells detergent.

The Grand Hyatt, Kauai, provided "free" laundry detergent and softener....

But the room rate was about the same as buying them a new washing machine every day!

Cash reservation. It will be replenished daily. Same with coffee. You can ask your housekeeper for extra. Leave a note. Find your housekeeper in the hall. Call and ask. You should be able to call and ask if they can send some up.
