Laundry at Vero Beach

We have reserved an Inn Room for my niece and her DH at Vero. She wants to only bring carry on bags but will need a laundry. Is Vero like the other DVCs--a laundry near the pool that you can use for free but need to bring or buy detergent?

The laundry room is in the Inn on the 4th floor. I am not sure if there are any others at the resort. They are free and I think you do get 1 box of tide detergent in your room. We always take our own soap.

Laundry room for the Inn Is on the 4th floor on the northwest corner of the lobby. It is free. Also have a Garden View balcony off of it.

Stupid question number 2: If staying on points, do the Inn rooms have the same cleaning schedule as a regular DVC room, with trash and towel on the 4th day?

We had T&T on the 4th day. Unfortunately we've never stayed more than 4 nights.

There are also washing machines/dryers in the smaller buildings off the garages.

As others have said, the Inn's guest laundry is on the 4th floor, just off the elevator. There are three washing machines and six dryers. They are free to use, but she will need to bring or buy her own laundry detergent / dryer sheets.

Yep, that's true. Trash and towel on the 4th day. And if their 4th day is a day when there are a lot of check-outs, don't expect the T/T to be early. Our experience was that it was late in the day before we got it.

Incidentally, the best cell phone service on property in in that 4th floor laundry room. Over on the ocean side of the resort, I get no service at all (T-Mobile). In the outlying villas cell services is pretty decent on the upper floors too. But the Inn laudry room is has the best reception.

Of course, poor cell phone reception is one of the things we love about heading to Vero. DWs blackberry just stays off and in a drawer so she can have a real vacation ("sorry, we don't get any reception here" is the best possible excuse).

I am so happy to hear about the blackberry!! I'll just let my DH bring it along, thinking he will be available for work! Disney works in mysterious ways!!

This might be a deal breaker for an upcoming trip in Oct for DH. I think I will conveniently forget this post It will be good for him and his coworkers.
