Laundry at Portifino

Does anyone know what type of detergent the machines take at the Portifino. Do they give you the detergent free at the desk? If not, can you use pods? Thanks

You can buy detergent at the gift shop in the hotel

You do not get free detergent at the desk. I brought my own liquid tide. You can get the single load packets of tide at most Walmart’s in the isle that sells the travel size Shampoo etc... These travel very well and do not leak



There is a detergent dispenser that sells the small boxes of powder Tide if I remember correctly in the laundry room. Those were $ 1.00 if you don’t have your own detergent.

Pack a few dryer sheets in a baggie and slip inside your suitcase.

It’s $ 3.00 to wash and $ 3.00 to dry clothes. The washer runs for about 45 minutes and the dryer for about an hour.

You can use your credit card for the machines.

I pack detergent sheets. They work great. No worries about leaking. Purex used to sell these. Not sure if they’re still available. But I now get mine from Tru Earth. And you can tear them into smaller bits for hand washing in sink. I think they’re available online.
