Latest Time I can make FP+ Choice Changes

If my FP+ window for a particular attraction is from 4-5 pm and I arrive, but the SB line happens to be short, therefore I want to "save" a FP for another attraction, what would be the latest time I could make a change to the FP+ selection? Do I have to do it before the window starts or maybe before it expires? Or perhaps this is just "wishful" thinking on my part that it could even happen!

1- Basically, any time. (Maybe not in the last hour the park is open that night.)
