Library director not sure yet how the 2004 fiscal budget will effect us. He did have a meeting with the town manager the other day though. Was told the 7 fulltimers would go from 34hrs to 30hrs and ALL parttimers would be gone. (we have about 7parttimers now). When I started fulltime 5yrs ago we had 1parttimer in our dept after schools, now noone. No money left for new books or any other supplies either.
Has anyone else from MA heard anything yet?
 
things will probably not improve until FY2006 unfortunately:(
 
Our town has split it's town meeting into two sessions this year. We aren't even discussing the financial stuff until May! Waiting to see what Mitt is doing with all the state aid stuff. I'm seeing my mil this week-end. I'll have to check and see what the story is on the Cape in Falmouth with her library. Times are going to be tough here in Ma for quite awhile I think.
