Latest Letter from Kuwait...

My prayers continue for your son and other soldiers in harm's way. Thank you for sharing his letters with us.

Thanks for sharing, Patty!!

Thanks so much for sharing your son with us, Patty. When he returns, he has to become a DIS'er.

That would be wonderful to 'meet' him!!

Thanks again TwinMom for sharing your son with us
Your son's letter also brought a tear to my eye, over carrying Nolan's picture in his helmet.
I thought of my DIS family when the Marine plane went down last night, I know they are all someones husband, son, daddy etc. But you fine folks have shared your military family and stories with us, so you feel a connection to them

I just realized  while reading your son's letter that your from South Bend. I lived there for 8 years while growing up, most of my family still lives in that area.

Keep us posted!

Patty,

I need to echo what everyone else has said. It is so special that you share your son's experiences with us. It has really put a special connection to the war for me. I look for your posts every day as I read to see what the latest news is. I will continue to keep you and Bobby in my prayers. He is one special man and you must be very proud.

Now that everything has started, I have even more respect for all of the families at home waiting and watching, and more admiration for the bravery and dedication of our American troops. Thank-you, all of you, for giving your best so we can be free! I love Mishetta's thought of angels surrounding our troops and our prayers supporting them. I believe it!

Thanks for shring the letter with us. I say a prayer for our troops everyday, but always add an extra for those that I know and for those that I "know" from the boards.

Speaking of angels surrounding our troops.....My mom (who lives 3000 miles from me :( ) Called me just as we dropped the first bombs in the bunker they Saddam Hussein .

She had turned off her TV and didn't know that it had started. She figured nothing would happen that night. She told me of a dream she had the night before, and actually wasn't sure if it was a dream or not. She was praying all night for my DH, and had a dream where she saw him surrounded by what she called Warrior Angels. She said they were towering, brown like desert sand and were holding shields. This made me feel good when I went to bed, and I started praying that night to these Warrior angels to protect Dh and all of the troops fighting this war (I made special pleas for my DH and Bobby).

Last night when she called, I asked her more about the Warrior Angels. She said she has no idea how she knew they were called Warrior Angels, and had never heard of them. She just knew that was what they were and that they were called to protect people who go into battle. I had read that someone who dreamed of them said they were gray, and we thought maybe this was because both of us dream in color, and many people dream in black and white. We think the brown sandish color might be because they are protecting him in the desert.

I had did a little surfing on the net and there are actual warrior angels, and they sound very much like what she described.

My mom has become very religious since my brother was killed in 1996.

I just wanted to share about these warrior angels, and ask everyone who reads this to pray and ask these warrior angels to protect our troops. I find myself praying to them even when driving to work. Just the image my mom gave me of them protecting my dh gives me hope.

Melanie

Thanks Melanie. I will continue to pray that these Warrier Angels surround our troops (and loved ones) with their wings of protection.
