latest DTD closings

Starabillias has gone out of business. Reports are that Illuminations will soon close.
There are rumors circulating that Island Charters and Quiksilver will be gone by summer.

I wonder if DTD at WDW is having the same issues.

Did you buy anything? That's the problem - we had the same issue with Hilo Hattie's at the Block in Orange - we loved the atmosphere of the store, but didn't often buy anything. And now it's gone...

Oh no.. Not Hilo Hatties. It was our way to get a little Hawaii without having to travel there. Darn, guess we will not have to make a trip to the Block.

When is Star closing? I just checked there site, and no mention of it. They have a autographed marilyn monroe piece I want I saw it in Oct but wanted to think on it first, also a signed Jack Sparrow poster. DTD won't be much if things keep going this way.

Island Charters and Quiksilver are two of my favorite stores in DTD. And even though I am a local, I have spent lots of $$$ in both. I am really surprised about QS, it is always busy in there. I usually sit and watch the big aquarium while DD tries on clothes. In fact, her new "favortie" pair of jeans came from there just before Christmas. And at about $55, not too bad price wise for good jeans. This is sad, indeed.

Well, it wasn't the people that already never bought anything. It was the regulars who did buy stuff, but then stopped.

Again, I hope Island Charters and QS stay, but if not, I hope there are some interested tenants.

There's a Ron Jon in Huntington Beach on Main Street. At least there USED to be
