what would be a good plan for a later morning arrival? We will probably get into the park around noon our first day. We have 3 full days after so no big rush to get stuff done.

It fantasyland a total cluster mid afternoon? I was liking the idea of going to the castle and fantasy land first but not if it will be crazy.

What day of the week will you arrive?
What time of the year are you traveling?

Oftentimes, yes. But it really does depend on the day. You could take a look at the app when you're getting close to walking through the main gates and decide which area looks the least busy based on ride wait times.

Lol I feel silly saying because it so far away. I just like to think about it. It’s november. The Sat, sun, mon, tues after thanksgiving so the day we would be arriving around noon would be the Saturday. I’m going to assume it will be busy on Saturday and Sunday. Our last trip was the week between Christmas and New Years and we never really did the full fantasyland expirence because it was SO busy. I really want to do Peter Pan, but I’ve been hearing more that it doesn’t matter when you go to ride that it’s akways a wait.

You could always go to the castle first and do the walk through. There usually isn't a long line for that, and it's such a charming way to start your trip. Agree with the suggestion to check the app before you arrive. And the weather will make a difference, too. We love PP, but if the weather is warm/hot and sunny, we wait until evening or nighttime to ride. As long as we're going to wait in line anyway, we'd rather not bake at the same time. (And ending your park day with PP as your last ride is so fun! Just be in line about 10 minutes or so before park closing.) Don't forget to check the entertainment schedule for your arrival day. There may be something that you want to get a FP for (e.g. WOC) or a show or parade that you want to see or line up for when you arrive.

What about heading over to DCA your first day as it just has more space and may be easier to get some stuff done there, especially with fast passes, and then head over to DL to watch parades and fireworks?

Peter Pan is a good one for magic morning or early entry if you are able to move fairly quickly - cause there is no rope drop - you are let in and off you go. We were close to the front of the gate lines on a 7AM magic morning and were the first dozen or so to ride it that day.

What is fantasy land like on an 8am non magic morning day?

I like to use magic morning to go to buzz and star tours without a wait. That worked really well during our last trip.

If I was arriving late morning, I would avoid starting at the park with any early entry. That is usually my strategy anyway.

That’s a good idea. I always have to go see the castle first but then maybe we will head to DCA.

I’d look at the app the Saturday before your arrival and it should give you a rough idea of what lines will be like. Then look at the app again on your way into the parks and then decide what to go on.
