( I asked in Disney families board but no answers there)

I read in one thread where someone was not able to get a rider swap for the ride they were heading into because they had a fast pass for said ride later in the day( I think in their scenario they were going through the fast pass line which is different than my scenario it still doesn’t negate that there are fast passes for later in the day which is my concern)........ so my question is I had planned on making my fast passes for more around 10-ish and rope dropping(no fp)the same rides that I have fast passes for. So although we’re not going through the fast pass line are they are still going to scan the person staying behind with the small child and say you can’t do this you have a fast pass for this later??

If you’ll also be using Rider Swap later in the day, one adult won’t need a FP. Let that adult’s MB be the “stay behind” when you use Standby at park opening.

I had planned on everyone in our party having the same fast passes at the same time,I think I read that technically everyone is supposed to have fast passes when doing rider switch if going through fp line although for the most part the majority of people are not asked this. In your scenario i would then be able to “double up” so to say on fps I really hadn’t planned on doing that i figured it would be just be more difficult to keep track of and book plus I didn’t want to necessarily cheat the system so to say or maybe id get a cast member that wants to make sure we all have fast passes if trying to do rs in the fp line

Doing split FPs have never been against the Disney RS rules, only the self annointed online rules enforcers. The point is so the shortie can ride something else.

Before the new system there were a few CMs that would say everyone needed a FP, but that was just a few that seemed to take on the cause themselves. I haven't heard of any issue with split FPs since the electronic RS came out.
