Hi Friends!
We are visiting the World (Wilderness Lodge) in April (DH, DD1 (7), DD2 (4) and myself). We will be arriving at MCO at 12:00, taking the Magical Express on Saturday and leaving the following Saturday at around 3:00. This is the plan, thus far, please feel free to share any advice/criticisms about the plan. Thanks!

Saturday: Arrive at HS around 3:00, no dinner ressie, FP+ are for Frozen singalong (3:05-3:20), Toy Story Mania (4:35-5:35) and Voyage of LM (5:50-6:05) stay for Fantasmic @8:30, SW Fireworks @ 9:15.

Sunday: Arrive at MK early for Morning Show. FP+ PeterPan 9:15-10:15, 10:20-11:20 Tales withBelle, Festival of Fantasy @3 (might pass on this to go back to WL), break from parks, 7:10 ressie at WC, return to MK for MSEP@ 9, Wishes @10, fit in FP+ to Anna and Elsa at 10:10-11:10.

Monday: EP, early. FP+ Turtle talk 9:50-10:50, 10:55-11:55 Seas w Nemo, break at some point, dinner on the boardwalk, FP+ 8:40-8:55 Illuminations.

Tuesday: MK for rope drop. FP+ 9:05-10:05 PeterPan, 10:10-11:10 Winnie the Pooh, 11:10-12:10 Buzz Space Ranger Spin, Festival of Fantasy @ 3, break after, Ohana @ 6:25, might return to MK, might watch from Poly beach?

Wednesday: EP day. Not sure if we need to go for the whole day. Is it better to go early or later in the day? Possible Ressie at Teppan Edo @ 8:40 (might be too late for this crowd).

Thursday: MK, again no definite plans. Possible ressie at Ohana for breakfast at 7:40 (might be too early), nothing else planned.

Friday: AK, planning on attending ROL! Have a ressie at Yak and Yeti for 4:00, not an ideal time but all that I could find. Any idea what time the show will be?

Saturday: HS, get there early, stay until we have to leave.

Please review FP+ selections as well as dinner ressie times. Suggestions for additional dinner ressies appreciated (although its slim pickings at this time!) Thank you!!

Those late nights followed by early mornings are going to be tough, especially for kids. I would also consider just relaxing at the resort on your arrival day.

You could call Yak and Yeti directly and book with them the time you desire. They are Landry's restaurant and don't release all the availability with Disney. 407-824-9384 Maybe you want to go to HS a little later than what you are planning on your traveling day. It will be very tiring for the little ones and you are trying to stay until the park closes. That's a full day... traveling in the morning and going straight to the park and staying until the park closes.... that sounds really tiring, in my opinion. Other than that, it looks good!

Fast pass + is really personal wants. Aside from the early morning late night set up the one thing that sticks out at me is your WC (whispering canyon rt?) reservation at 7:10 and then wanting to be back in the park and see the 9:00 parade.... The parade will most likely not have any front of the line spots left... Don't know if this is a problem for you or not. That's all I really noticed, but I have not had my coffee yet :)

You could even get the Landry's Select Club card and show up whenever you want to Yak & Yeti! Club members get priority over ADR's! It's $25 to join, but that $25 is taken off your first bill, plus if April is someone's "birthday month", you get another $25 off!

The most important thing that concerns me is your last morning. ME pick up will be at 12 noon, and you should be out at the ME bus stop by 11:45. In case of just missing a return bus from HS and having to wait 20 minutes for the next, you would want to be at the bus stop at HS by 10:30. So I don't think that is a good plan at all. If you absolutely have to squeeze in some park time on your last day, I wouldn't go any further than MK, but even that would be a very tight schedule. Perhaps just time enough to ride the train one last time around the park, stop in the Emporium, blow a kiss to the castle, then get back on the boat to Wilderness Lodge which is fun too of course. Other than that, I think it's too many very late nights and early mornings for your little ones. I'd go for quality over quantity. You will all be happier.

Don't waste your time going to a park on saturday. You would really need to be walking out of the park by 10:15 because you need to give yourself time to get back to the resort (which takes linger earlier in the morning since you're basically going upstream,) pick up your carry ons from bell services, and make sure everyone has gone to the bathroom. You need to be at the platform waiting for the bus 15 minutes before your scheduled pickup time.

Thanks for the advice! We are actually flying out at 5:50, so ME pick up would be around 3:00, is that right? Is it worth traveling into the parks for a day that we would have to leave Disney at 3:00?

Thank you, everyone!
Everything I read suggests being at the parks for rope drop, how do you manage fireworks if you need to be at the parks early in the morning? Thanks!

You'll need to leave the park around 1:15. I would go to the park.

Rope drop is great, as long as you don't do it every day, and as long as you go back to the room for naps (with young children). Also, I would not plan on staying out late at night if you have rope drop the next morning.
You really have to pace yourself as it is A LOT of walking.

Going the last day is fine if you are there for rope drop. Make sure you get to bed early the night before. When my kids were little, we used to skip the parks on the last day and do a character breakfast instead.

We like visiting Disney Springs on our departure days. It is nice to walk around, maybe shop a bit, get some lunch, then leave by 2 to return to the resort for DME at 3. We find it hard to leave a park on the last day, but DS is kind of easing our way out.

Also, my family would never make the early mornings and late nights for that many days. I would plan at least a couple half days for enjoying the resort.

Be on the lookout for Rivers of Light dining packages on your AK day. Rumored to start booking on March 11, and might be a better option than Yak and Yeti.

Do you know what time the show is supposed to start? What restaurants are going to be apart of dining packages?

Ok, so that is different. I thought you meant to say that your plane took off from Orlando at three. So pick up would be about 2:50, and you should be at the ME bus stop at Wilderness at 2:35. That means if you were going to HS, you would want to be at the bus stop at HS 1:15 at the latest, as Alesia advised in post #10 above.
So it is doable. You could have 4 hours park time. That's enough for 3 fast passes and a quick service lunch. Have fun!

Our guess is the show will start around the same time as Fantasmic. I think the restaurants are going to be Tuskers House, Flaming Tree, and Tiffins. That is what I read so not real sure.
I also know they will have FP+ for it.

Thanks! Can anyone tell me what FP+ for shows does? Do you get preferred seating? Thanks!

We are supposed to see Anna and Elsa between 10:10 and 11:10 at night. Where should we stand if we wanted to see the MSEP? Wishes? Are these locations far from the meet and greet location?

Magical Express would pick you up at 2:45pm. We had a 1pm flight on Saturday and bus came at 9:55.

Just a Psa about Orlando International Airport, but it took us 1 hour and 5 minutes to get through security last Saturday morning.. It was completely ridiculous and people all around us were missing flights. Hopefully it won't be like that for you, but be aware.

Is your 4 year old really gonna make it til 11pm? IMHO, you are setting yourself and the kids up for an epic meltdown by day 3. Even if you go back to the resort for a lengthy break, unless your kids are used to late nights, they'll never survive the pace.

Thanks for the advice. This is the only time I could come up with to see A & E. We have only been to disney one other time, our last trip we were much more relaxed (got to the parks in the morning but not for rope drop, left mid-afternoon, sometimes went back, other times just stayed at the resort. The girls were 2 and 5 then, it was a fabulous trip. We didn't see fireworks because the girls were just too tired.
Should we try to see fireworks in each park at least once or is that too much?
