Late Thanksgiving trip planning help needed

This is also posted in the other attractions and Orlando area of the boards, but I want maximum exposure. We're going primarily for Universal, and I don't want to be in WDW on Thanksgiving Day. IF we can get availability at Chef Mickey's or 1900 Park Fare I wouldn't be opposed to those. However, if anyone has some suggestions whether out of the parks or at Universal, I'd appreciate it. I have zero interest in buying a cooked meal from Publix and serving it in our hotel. Last year we did LTT, but that was a well-planned operation, unlike this seat-of-the-pants whim. We want the traditional meal without any of the mess.

One restaurant I'd really love to have Thanksgiving dinner in is Artist Point. I think it would really be nice there.

I'm not really sure of the names of the restaurants at the Universal hotels but I'm sure some of them will be serving a traditional meal.

If all else fails there's always Cracker Barrel, you don't get much more down home than that.

We're probably not staying in one of Universal's hotels, but we might. I got a PS for Garden Grill thinking we could do Disney on Thanksgiving and Universal the other days. I'd still like to come up with alternate ideas in case we don't go to WDW Thanksgiving.

We are not Cracker Barrel fans. Our extended family has drug us there way too much. I'd rather stear clear of Golden Corral, too. Artist Point doesn't grab me for our family of 5, but maybe Whispering Canyon would be a good option. Certainly Wilderness Lodge would be a festive atmosphere. Thanks for jogging my memory!
