Late spring 2025 incentives (April 29-July 14)

One of my favorite DISBoard traditions is people acting offended that the latest promos are similar to the previous promos. Get your popcorn ready.
If they're really good you will hear me expressing frustration that they lowered it and now is not a good time for me to buy yet. If it sucks youll hear me saying wow they should have lowered it 🤣🤣

I'm hoping for poor incentives. 🤣 My husband is holding me to no add ons until after our February trip (when we finally visit our home resorts) and we've had a few unexpected expenses the past couple months (including a diabetic cat...pets are expensive, don't be fooled by their cuteness).

Honestly I'm still in the "we want to add on but I'm very much unsure on direct vs resale and what resort" phase so don't want to be swayed by a good sale on something I don't really want.

As a very weak person, I convinced myself to finally get some Poly points. Got a FW there. and will see tomorrow if incentives are better.

Direct is expensive, but can't deny it's an amazing process. Emailed my guide, he called me and discussed the details, gave him the ok and just noticed my points loaded 35 minutes after ending the call. I haven't even received the Docusign email 😂

Agreed…. Its amazing how quick the direct points can load….

The stress of resale is so often overlooked. Direct is a breeze. Instant gratification.

Someone on Reddit today mentioned that they tried to buy points split between two resorts to get incentives at the combined total (150 Riv/150 Poly) but the guide said they couldn't get the 300 level incentives. Anyone else try this recently?

Not recently but I asked when we did our 300 RIV. They only can combine if EVERYTHING is the exact same between the two offers. Purchase price, discounts, etc. If the price of the points or the incentives are different for the two resorts then it's a no go

If the resorts have different incentive structures, they cannot be combined for incentives. If they have the *same* incentive structures, often they can be but that's probably not always true.

For example, I'm pretty sure you cannot combine RIV and PVB, because their incentives differ.

That makes sense, thanks!

Additional part that is amazing. They now allow a welcome home stay booking assistance for addons. They helped us get an Island Tower October stay at 4 months out. There was zero availability but they used developer inventory to fulfill a reservation for us.

Same here. I am standing firm on no new purchases until our one year DVC anniversary in March which will come soon enough.

Now if I fall in love with riv and/or poly after staying soon I can see that being more difficult, but the good thing is we dont need more points yet so I dont feel all crazy like before lol. It is a little pressing to me to buy something for direct benefits though.

I dont want to go to Aulani without the benefits if im going to be buying direct anyways, but since we're planning for June, around the march time is good for us too.

Im not sure if they raise the price every January like they did this year, but thats going to piss me off if they do 🤣🤣

I think our anniversary is a good time because home property tax season and dvc dues season will be done and I would be free to pay off rapidly and be OK if unexpected expenses happen like the one you mentioned.

I am tempted to get into an October UY to cover fall and December travel without my December UY hampering my ability to walk, but I am not going to go there today 🤣🤣

You should fully expect the base prices to go up in January.
