My husband is a late sleeper expecially on vacation. There is no way we are going to be at the parks at opening! We are going the last week of April when the EPP prices and the hotels prices are at their lowest ( i researched). Are we going to have 1 hr lines still? We have 2 days per park but we dont wanna run from ride to ride. DH wants a vacation not a marathon like Disney was last year.

The absolute best would be to stay onsite. Now, THAT, is relaxing. You can sleep in every day.

What damo said is right if its in the budget onsite is great. Park opening is great though with almost no lines if you can get your husband to wake up. I think the main thing with the lines is how many employees working during that time. During slow times they do things like shut down one side of MIB and have less coasters running etc so lines are longer then they rly should be.

Two days in each park should give you plenty of time to sleep in and still see everything at a relaxed pace. You don't need to plan and organize or rush around the way you have to at Disney parks. A little planning goesa long way at Universal!
