Who has gone to WDW in late september, just wondering what the weather is like.

We are going the last week of setember this year. YIPPY :cheer2:

according to the historical data on weather.com, expect temps in the upper 80s to low 90s with a good chance of afternoon rain each day.

I am also going at the end of Sept.

So, it will be hot but not unbearable.

We went last Sept. 27-Oct. 2, and it was hot (high 80s, low 90s). We went expecting mid-afernoon rain every day, but it hardly rained at all. We enjoyed this time of year so much that we are going this year Sept. 18-27! We can't wait! :cool1:

Great question!!! We are going the last week in Sept. too. I have heard to expect lots of rain due to the bad hurricane season this year. Bring the ponchos!!

Our kids get out of school for a county fair the last week of sept & for the last 5 years disney, the parks & Cruise line, have been the benefactors! Other than hurricane Jean last year, and it was only 1 bad day for which we recieved comp park hopper passes, the weather is ALWAYS moderate & very little rain! in fact the hurricane is the ONLY rainy day I can remember..I hope for your & our sakes this hold true again...minus the hurricane!
See U there!

Here's out trip report from last year with hurricane Jean!http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=656600

We went the last week of Sept. last year and it was definitely hot (high 80's and even low 90's). We were lucky and happened to go the week in between hurricanes, so there was no rain--it rained once for 20 minutes only, and that was our last day when we were already back at the resort. You should expect some light daily rain, though.

The absolute best thing about this week was that there were NO LINES for anything. We literally walked on to every single ride. We did the Buzz ride in MK 7 times in a row, just kept getting back on. The only thing we actually waited for was Dumbo and that was a whopping 6 minutes. Have fun!

I just really REALLY want there to be no lines for us this year too. I can take the bad weather, I can take the heat, I am so NOT patient for line-waiting, it's actually a little pathetic & now I think I've passed it on to the kids. You know the commericial with the guy who can't stand waiting in lines (fast food - too slow!) well - that's me! We're going 9/22-9/30 & I am SO happy to hear you say this.

I will be going in September also and am happy to hear that. Do you think it will not be crowded even with the free dining. I think that promotion is bringing in a lot of people that normally wouldn't have gone at this time. (smart of disney)

Vicky46: We went to one MNSSHP that ended in a downpour. The second parade was cancelled, and we kept trooping through the park, wearing our purchased that evening ponchos. DS and I ended up wading through shin deep water near Cosmic Ray's. DS got tons of candy at each location as the CMS were trying to get rid of their stock. It's a special memory and I can authoritatively say that it hurts to go down the final hill of Splash Mountain while it's raining!

we went the last 2 weeks of sept 2003 it rained 1/2 day and late night 2 nights

we are going again at the same time this year, and hoping for the same :)

Also going down there last wek of sept. Absoulutely looking forward to no lines, crowds etc. DW and I specificaly took vacation just for this( the free dinning program does not hurt either).

We are also going the last week of September. Where is everone staying? This is our first disney trip. We will be staying at All Star Sports.
