Late Sept or late Oct...BC or BW.

I've read that October is a popular time for DVCers. Would it be hard to get into BC or BW the weekend before Halloween? This would be our first time using pts at DW. BC is our home resort.

Recent posts indicates that all DVC resorts are booked up solid during that time. You might get lucky and find an opening. I waited 7 weeks for the night of the 26th in a 1br at BCV.

BUt you can still waitlist if there's no availability

I wouldn't count on anything but you can always waitlist and see what happens.

We booked VWL for late October and BWV and BCV were both booked for the times we wanted.

If you are looking for the weekend, Fri and Sat nights only, you have a decent chance. Weekends have the lowest occupancy rates because of people that avoid weekends like the plague.

ColoradoDisneyFan --- it depends on what time of the year you're trying to get a last minute reservation, and if you only want a specific resort. Last May, we got a 1 BR at OKW on 2 weeks notice.
In early June, I started calling about OKW or VWL for the last 2 weeks in October and 1st week in November, and there was availability for those weeks. Just a few weeks later, I barely got a week at OKW.

We have a 2br and 1br booked for the week of the 20th of October and I was told it was completely booked when I tried to add a night for the 1 br. On friday my waitlist came through and I got the extra night. So it does happen.
