I have a 1:00 pm flight to catch...which means I need to be at MCO at around 11:30 am....do you think I can make it back to MCO from cruise terminal by then if I have late seating? If CMs knew there is a flight to catch, they will certainly let us leave early, wouldn't they??

missmulan, you can leave the ship at your convienence. You don't have to eat in the dining room. There is a wonderful breakfast buffet up at Topsiders/Beach Blanket Buffet. Eat a nice breakfast and leave the ship. If you can tear yourself away!

We had a 2 pm flight out of MCO, took our time and still arrived by 10:30 am.
Be aware! The security screening at MCO can be very congested and long. This was mid July when Orlando is very busy with vacationers.

We got out of the terminal very quick last weekend by having a porter grab our bags-he was very aggressive but merged(OK-cut)into the line and got us out very quickly. Definitely worth the trip. We had late seating and were assigned to breakfast at 8:00-we were out of the terminal shortly after 9:00.

As stated above you do not have to eat in the dining room. You can go to the buffet and eat or not eat at all. You can leave the ship at anytime once they have past customs.

My IL's were off the ship by 7:30 AM last year.

Even eating the late breakfast you can be off by 9:00. I would think you could be out of the terminal by 9:30 and on the road by 9:45 if you are driving. The airport is an hour away. You should be fine.

The amount of time it takes to walk off can vary. On two Disney Magic cruises, we had late breakkfast. Each time, we left the dining room before 9 a.m. The first time, we walked right off. The second time, we waited in a long, slow line (30-45 minutes) to get off. Both cruises were post-9/11.

Keep in mind that you are processed by US Immigration officers as you exit into the terminal. There can be a backup.

In any case, there should be no problem catching a 1 p.m. flight out of MCO.

Unless someone is in a huge hurry, there is no reason to skip a real breakfast in the dining room, served by your dinner servers, on debarkation morning. It's the time to say goodbye to the servers who have taken care of you all week. And it's an opportunity to have one last pleasant experience on the ship.

You will be done with breakfast by 8:30.
Under normal circumstances, a 1 pm flight will be just fine.

8 a.m. on average is when they start letting folks off the ship.
There was a 45 minute line to get off ship, but we were still at the airport by 10:15.
That's where the nightmare wait for security began, a 90 minute line.
We literally walked right on our 12:35 pm flight.

thanks everyone, now i can breathe a sigh of relief because i purchased tickets already. whew..
