Ok,

I have several friends who want to watch me in the 1/2 marathon but are a bit.....lazy and don't want to get up so early.

I am a walker (15 min mile).

They would like to see me near the castle/TTC.

Is there any way for them to get there later than 5am or are all of the roads closed?

Another though I had was they can just watch me at the finish line....

Thanks for any help!

So you pass the TTC around 6:50 to 7 am and Main 20 ish minutes later (depending on the time you cross the line). Then your finish is in the 9-9:20 range.

Not sure where you are staying. They are not going to have a great time getting to the TTC/MK area. If they have a car they can drive to the MK parking lot and avoid the early stint at Epcot Parking. But then they are kind of stuck in MK parking. I would have them shooting for 6:15 ish to get into the parking lot. Then leave the car in the lot and monorail down to Epcot to see you at the finish.

The other option is to take a cab from your resort to the TTC. again, I would have the cab pick me up around 6 to get me there.

The path up to the TTC/MK area is not a normal path. They will need to get onto Bonnet Creek and follow it up to Vista. Then left on Vista and over to the intersection of Floridian. If like previous years, the MK parking lot will have a side gate off of Floridian open and they should be able to park in the lot.

According to the official race directions, the Epcot parking lot is closed from 5-7:30am for both races. I was originally going to have my family drive over to Epcot in time to see me finish (around 7:30) but now they won't be able to get to the finish line in time. Your friends may have to park at MK like Coach says.

for the princess last year, my boyfriend was meeting me at the finish. the race start was a bit later - 6 am - so he was trying to get there by 8:15 am to see my finish. we were staying at port orleans, and he gave himself 45 mins of travel time - and he ended up missing me finish because the buses were running so slowly and there was just so much traffic.
