Late reservation & Osborne Lights

I was hoping to see the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights in early Dec. at 6:30 and then go to a 7:15-7:30 reservation at 50's Prime Time. I was surprised when they told me the last seating that night is 5:40 (park closes at 8). Is it possible to walk-up and get a table late? Has anyone ever done this? Or do they really not take any more customers after 5:40?
