We have a random school break Oct 23-30. Is this is less-crowded time of year to visit? Usually go at Thanksgiving and Easter.

Less crowded than normal Thanksgiving/Easter times but I wouldn't say that the parks are empty. Usually, F&W, MNSSHP, milder weather and lower resort prices are enough to make that week anywhere from a 5 to an 7 on the crowd calendars, depending on who you follow. Thanksgiving and the days surrounding it can be an 8-10.

All of our late October trips have been very manageable. Last one in 2017 when I was told it was going to be CRAZY PACKED!!! Yes, it had a nice sized crowd, but nothing crazy. Epcot got crowded on Fri/Sat night.

We are going again this year around your dates.

With people eager to travel, Disney 50th anniversary, and whether or not they continue to restrict capacity, I wouldn't bet on October being slow at all. Nobody can tell, too many unknowns at this time. We usually go the last week of October (we did last year), but really don't expect to this year.

We go this week every year for the past 15 years and while it's not Christmas or Easter it won't be quiet. As others have said, you have the F & W festival and it looks like they may bring back music (even if it is local talent) there may be MNSSHP, the 50th celebration will just be getting started, many schools (such as yourself) around the country have fall breaks not to mention if there will still be kids learning remotely. Last year there were quite a few kids over the week sitting at the quiet pool tables at BCV with a computer.
