I have been to Florida many times in late Oct and weather has always been warm but just curious what the trends are like this Oct.

Will we be OK in shorts and t-shirts at night or will we need warmer clothing.

Kim:

The averages for the 27th are 83°F 63°F and records of 89°F (2002) 47°F (1957) .

It might get cool so I will probably tie a LS tech shirt around my waist to wear just in case or especially after we finish. Obviously some of us might get sweaty and will cool off fast. Especially if in line for rides. I might check a light jacket or legs(zip off legs for my shorts). Remember that rides have AC and it will be 1:00 am.

So glad someone answered the post. I was wondering the same thing being that today in the lovely state of Maine, it is 44 degrees. I was planning on shorts but may opt for my tights instead. I have an awesome New Balance jacket that has sleeves to zip off into a vest that I may consider also.

Craig (Calcio) will be there the week before on a business trip so he's going to check it out for us. That's what Martha told me anyway. :cutie:

Based on the temps from this past year's marathon in January, I trust NOTHING about Florida's weather.

I plan to show up to TOT in a pair of running underwear and if it gets hot, I'll start removing layers at that point. :rolleyes1

Steve heard how you were gonna strut your stuff so he figured what's good for the geese is good for the ducks, or something like that.

Oh honey, my "stuff" doesn't "strut" anymore. Hasn't done so in 20 years. Gravity and all, you know.

Yeah, I know what you mean. My "stuff" kinda drags now. Makes it hard when you're trying to train for a marathon. ;)

Wait, am I missing something? If you plan to show up in a pair of running underwear, what layers can you peel off. :scared1: ;) :woohoo: This could be quite a show. :rotfl2:

You are beautiful person Honeibee, with a smile that would light a room. You have the kind of beauty that can't be faked cause it glows from within you. By the number of friends that love you on here I'd say there are a lot of WISH teamers who would agree.

Y'all are killing me-- my DD's second grade teacher is already going to be twitching when she hears about the Aerosmith or whatever concert and the rides at 1 a.m.-- now my DD is going to be talking about runners stripping?! I'm already the worst class representative ever, and now this! :rotfl:

Hey, what's the latest on costumes? Emma is wearing a Minnie Mouse skirt over shorts/tights (provided I order the material in time and get it to my friend with the sewing machine and skill). She says she'll wear her WISH shirt and a Minnie headband to complete her look. I'll be my usual WISH shirted self, dragging all the layers we may or may not need. ;)

Jen are you trying to insinuate that we are a wild bunch of nutty people?pirate:

Erica and I are wearing WISH shirts to the Tot. She will probably wear a fanny pack with a water bottle and capris with cargo pockets. We will be wearing the wonderful new WISH hats also.

We might pack a small backpack with a change of clothes for after.

Gosh this is going to be a Minnie race, I got a mini Minnie running skirt from runningfunky way back in .........May! Minnie was 11 years old when the Tower was first hit by lightening back 1939.

Speaking of 1939.....I know everyone thinks there will be a BIG band at the race, but I heard that it was a Big Band, you know like Glen Miller, Duke Ellington, Guy Lombardo, etc....."Yes, Sir That's My Baby", "Five-foot Two, Eyes of Blue", "Bill Bailey Won't You Please Come Home" .......In keeping with the era of the Tower of Terror! Just a rumor, I heard somewhere......:confused3

That would be great. And yes it would fit the "Twilight Zone" theme to since they are all dead.:scared1:

How about Lawrence Welk and Doris Day, Eddie Valenze?

There is your idea for a costume, since the bands will be golden oldies, you could wear a poodle skirt and your WISH shirt, and a big bow in your hair.

Okay, I am starting to get worried about being associated with this group at ToT, which (trust me) takes a lot. So far we have talk of a Minnie Mouse (seems safe), being chased by YARC Queen-Lady Godiva (I am assuming without her horse & not sure if she or her entourage will be tossing chocolates along the way) and both of them chasing a Pittsburgh Steeler fan impersonating a Chippendales dancer (or is it a Chip & Dale dancer in honor of WDW?). Here I am hoping to just make it at this point and planning on dressing as/pretending to be a Half ToT 13K participant who can finish the event. This is also a solo budget trip for me, so I will feel guilty if I can't toss money in the bail assistance hat to help out each of you. This endurance stuff is becoming more and more complicated for this newbie. I also think I better leave the camera at home for this one in case the wife and/or kids get a hold of it prior to me being able to download the pics to a secure file.
