I have a flight that doesn't land at MCO until 935pm.Would they deliver my bags to my room and actually knock on the door at 1am?
I am already planning around this by thinking I should pick up my own bags and then walk over to the ME counter.
Previous dealings with this scenario anyone?Have you actually had them knock at your door in the middle of the night?Or do they wait till morning?

THere have been varying experiences with later evening DME arrivals. You are told to expect your bags in your room within 3 hrs of resort checkin. So...if you land at 9:30ish, you won't be at the resort until about 10:45. Theoretically, your bags could arrive at your resort room door at past midnight. You can tel bell services to hold your luggage until the morning. But, some have done this and the bags have still been delivered to the room in the middle of the night. Others have had a phone message in the morning, telling them that their bags are there, waiting to be delivered to the room.
If it were me, I would not tag the bags with the yellow tags. I would grab them myself at baggage claim and take them with me, on the bus (well, underneath the bus) to the resort. It will be late, but at least you will be able to unpack and get settled that night.
As always...be sure to pack a carryon with anything you 'have' to have that night. Checked bags do go missing or get delayed..nothing to do with DME at all, it's just airline travel.

Here is what we do. I pack what I need to get to bed that night and out the door the next morning in a carryon. I DO use the yellow tags and let DME handle the rest of my luggage. I tell the front desk that I don't want my stuff till the next morning. I unpack the small amount of stuff I have and get to bed. I get out the door to the parks early the next morning and my bags have been there when we come back to the room about 2 the next afternoon.

Now of course this is when we arrive at about midnight. If I were landing at 9:35, I'd probably still head over to PI upon arriving.

You sig says you are staying in a value room, and their luggage service closes at 11pm, so it is VERY likely that it won't be delivered till the next day. Also, if you collect your bags yourself, it is likely that luggage service will be closed when you get to the resort, so you'll have to drag it to your room yourself. Tell the folks at the front desk that you don't want it till the next morning.

On our last trip we got in around 10 pm to MCO. We had three large suitcases checked. We yellow-tagged two and let ME handle those. We claimed the 3rd one which had all our toiletries, pj's and clothes for the next day plus all the baby supplies for the week. When we got to the resort we told the front desk that we didn't want the bags until the next morning....they noted it and also told us to put the Do Not Disturb placard on our door. Our bags were in the room the next day when we returned from the parks about 1 pm.

We arrived around 10:15pm and did the same, asked to not have our bags delivered til morning. We had 2 connecting rooms. the bags came to my DBIL at 2:30AM  (luckily he took our room bags as well because my kids would not have gone back to bed) So, i asked in the morning why they delivered and they never really gave us an answer. We won't use the yellow tags this trip and will be getting our own bags as we are taking an afternoon flight and will be arriving around 4pm....
