Late Night DME Arrival

Tried DME in Oct and loved it. Now have surprise trip for family scheduled mid-Dec. Only problem is that only flight available gets us to MCO around 9:30pm. No big deal...we just go to DVC (SS) and hit the bed. Except....what about DME and my luggage? Will they really bust into my room about 3 hours later (around 12 midnight!) with the luggage, or will they wait until morning? I can handle no bags 1st night, as we can do 1 carryone to get us through, but don't like the idea of a late-night bell staff visit. Am I concerned for no reason? Anyone have any experience with a late night arrival? Thanks.

They will do what you request. Use the tags, check your luggage through to your resort.
When you check in to the hotel, tell the CM you'd like your luggage delivered in the morning.
When you get to your room, call Bell Services and tell them the same thing.
Before you go to bed, put the "Privacy Please" card in your door's keycard reader.
When you wake up in the morning, there'll be a message on your phone (yes, even though it didn't ring!) and you can call and have them bring up your bags.

I've long-suggested asking Bell Services AND the front desk to have late-night luggage held 'til morning, with the "Privacy Please" sign in the door lock just for safe measure.

I'm embarassed to say that I totally forgot about that last Saturday. I was SOOO excited to be there that I totally forgot about that request. I got off my airplane at 9:53 p.m. and walked into POFQ at 10:49 p.m.

At 1:16 a.m., our room telephone actually rang -- OUT LOUD -- and it was Bell Services asking if we wanted the luggage now or later. It was my fault for forgetting my own advice. We were awake for all of about 45 seconds as a result of the phone call. I got the luggage delivered about 5 minutes after I called for it around 7:00 a.m.
