Our flight doesn't get in until 11:30pm and we are staying at Coronado Springs. What are our options for grabbing a snack is anything open that late? I think room service is only available until 11pm. Or do most people get something to eat at the airport before heading out to the hotel

TIA

I've been researching this subject quite a bit because our flight gets in at 10:30 and leaves before our normal dinner time. Try searching for "late night dining" and you will see some helpful threads. Basically, without a car you are pretty much out of luck unless you are willing to take a cab.

The airport won't have much, if anything available. I know this from firsthand experience.

Downtown Disney has a couple restaurants that are open pretty late - later on weekends - but it seems unknown when their kitchens close.

Ditto ESPN and the brewery on the Boardwalk.

Picabu buffeteria in the Dolphin is open 24 hours. Items from the cold cases are apparently available 24 hours at the monorail resorts. Not sure about CSR though.

One person mentioned the Hess station near Downtown Disney as being a late night food scrounging possibility.

Last time I was there, the only option for late-night food was the apps available at the lounge (bar), and it seems like the food court and the Rix were both closed before midnight.

That being said, there is a strong possibility that your options will be severely limited at the airport too - even in the larger airports, they tend to close up services by 10 or 11 at night. I fly a LOT for work and for leisure, and have often been walking through a closed-up airport after getting on a flight that landed late at night.

If you are going to need such a late night meal, it may be to your advantage to arrange a towncar one-way from the airport to your resort (instead of using the ME) so that they can take you through the 24-hour drivethru at McDonald's on your way to the resort.

Thank you - we will have a car but wanted to head to the resort and settle in. I guess we will be stopping somewhere along the way

I forgot about the 24 hour McD's! Though last time we had a late flight we attempted a stop there and they were out of food. Said they had turned off the fryer for the night (it was about 12:30 a.m.) and couldn't even make french fries. It was very weird and, I hope, an isolated incident.

I think u would do better eating before landing in Orlando. Also even if u get a car things will be pretty much closed. Sorry but true.:lovestruc
