As most of you know, the lines for the MK headliners get very short late in the evening, especially during the fireworks show. Here's something we did once during our last visit that anyone can try.

The challenge is to ride both Splash Mtn and Big Thunder during the fireworks show without the aid of FP+. You won't get to see much of the show but what you do see is well worth the effort.

The key is starting at Big Thunder. Splash unloads too slowly at night and it wouldn't be possible to start there and make it to the coaster before the finale. You need to time it just right to be on the ride when the fireworks show starts. Keep in mind that the posted wait times are intentionally exaggerated at night. For example, if the sign says 30, the wait is probably only 10 so don't line up too early. After unloading hurry over to Splash as quickly as you can. Waits will be minimal if at all just because most guests don't like to get "wet" late at night.

If your timing is right, you'll be floating around the outside portions of the ride as the finale is going on overhead. Have fun!

Sounds totally fun! I've done the 7DMT during the fireworks and it was AMAZING!! ....and the crowds are nil!

My daughter and I actually did this a few years ago! It was a memory we won't soon forget! We rode BTMM first and then Splash.
