Work getting in the way of life caused this to be late. Sorry. Here is the econd half of our trip.

12/7 a great DIS meet was hosted by Danny at OKW with a great turn out. We got to meet many DIS folks. It is very cathartic to meet others who enjoy Disney as much as one’s self.

Weather is clear and cool in the AM. Hope the weather gets warmer so we can get to a water park. We even bring a short wet suit to fend off the chill.

We went on a RADP Illuminations cruise. This is really a neat experience.

There is an updated movie in China. I like it and it makes me want to travel there. I would love to see DVC offer an exchange with Thompson’s.

We are starting to see more Christmas lights on the OKW balconies.

We are still happy with the bus service at OKW. Looking forward to the larger boats here a OKW. There will a test run this Friday.

As always it is good to hear Off Kilter. I got their third CD.

Tonight at Fantazmic there were no pre show entertainers. New to us, part of the cut backs???

Got the notice of the DVC Member Homecoming. I for one will keep telling them to give us more notice. I think they look at bookings said this time was low and decided to fill it with DVC crazed folks (of which I am one). Sadly I need a little more notice of these events.

Seemed to us that cutbacks in cast members were noticeable.

OKW room was in great shape and the OKW cast members were great.

Very little about the slide at OKW is being mentioned by the cast members. Typical response is “ you members know more than us.”

A couple of days ago the Eiffel Tower returned to France in EPCOT.

We have experienced three different styles of openings at MK. 12/12 they let us in the area in front of the train station where the Mayor awaited the arrival of Mickey and Friends on the train, with dancers and singers. Pretty neat.

No test of the larger OKW boat on 12/12. One boat captain told me they would not be like the PO boats. They will be nicer with padded seats and a different seating configuration. Seating was described as more open, not just rows of benches.

We noticed Cast Member cutbacks with less staff in various areas.

Maybe it is just me but there also seemed to be slight cuts in the decoration. Still great but less, i.e. the Train area in EC in Germany was not decorated for the season.

Do you remember what room # you had at OKW? View? I'm trying to compile a list of OKW rooms. Thanks. Also, did you go on the Illuminations Cruise on 12/7? If so, all of us DISers have got to remember to display our lime green a little more. I was on that cruise (Boat #2), but confess I left my lime green back in the hotel room.

Thanks for the report, Scott. It was nice to meet you at Danny's OKW meet on the 7th!

Thanks for the report Scott. The description of the new boat is interesting and sounds better than I was expecting!

Great report! Great photos too! I will have to be sure and try out the new boats next month.

It is always great to meet fellow DIS folks, Doc, Mary, Danny and Belinda, Towncrier and the list goes on and on.

We were in room 1621 with a view of the golf course. Sorry I could not tell you which hole.

Hint on walking or running. At 5:00 am all the trails are very open. I will admit I did get a might bewildered one morn and ended up at DDT. I have never been lost just a might bewildered for a couple of days.

12/7 cruise - yes we were on boat 1. It was very cool and my DIS button was covered up by many layers of clothing.

Thanks for the photos. I wonder when I will have time to get to review ours.

Great photos. We had planned to go but my brother arrived unexpectantly so all our plans were changed. It was great to see my brother but I was sad to miss the meet. Glad to hear everyone had a good time. BTW I looked for lime green ribbons from 11/13 to 12/8 and did not spot one!
