Which would you choose based on crowds, weather and events. I know the 4th is probably more crowded, but do special events make it worth it.

I would love to hear your opinions!

Thanks

We've been many times during the summer months, including three trips the week of July 4th! (We were just there the week of July 4, 2004)

Yes, it can be crowded, but we always get to the parks early, stay til about lunch time, then head back to the hotel for a nap/swim break. Go back around 5:00 and stay as late as we want! We were able to ride all the rides we wanted (many of them over and over - i.e. Buzz Lightyear!) With fast pass, its really easy to see a lot!!

The fireworks show at Epcot after Illuminations for July 4th is breathtaking!!! Absolutely worth the trip!!!

We just returned from 8 days in the world, and late August is a pleasure. Most schools in the U.S. are in session, and WDW is uncrowded! We now always go during the last week of August, and have been doing so for five years. Walk on everything, dine anywhere with out a wait, it sounds just too good to be true, but it is!

July 4th....Been there, done that, and never again. It is incredibly crowded.

If crowds are your primary concern, try late August.

:D

I've never been in July. However, from my experience, we've vacationed twice during hurricane season and both times we encountered a hurricane. First, in Oct of '89 (i believe) we had Irene and then this August we had Charley. I'd pick July!
