Late July vs mid August

Hello all, looking for feedback about summer dates. Strangely mid August is a smidge more expensive vs Late July for onsite resorts. I would have assumed since most schools back in session mid August and the halloween stuff not yet launched would be less crowded and less in demand than last week July. Is there anything I’m missing ? Thank you

Actually, MNSSHP is predicted to start around August 8, 2025 (based on the August 9, 2024 start date this past year).
When I checked rooms at Pop Century for a 7 day stay starting on a Saturday, I found that the rates still decreased as I went from late July to mid August.
A couple of possibilities come to mind:
- did the Disney site have you in the same category room category or were you put in a higher category in mid-August compared to late July?
- by chance are you comparing a midweek stay in late July to a weekend stay in mid August?
In case you haven’t seen it yet, when making your plans, you may also want to consider that the free dining offer that is coming tomorrow includes late July dates and currently doesn’t include mid-August if you want the DDP.

The start of school is as variable as spring break. Some districts start in mid August. Others don't start until after Labor Day. Take a look at this map to get an idea of the number of school districts around Disneyland.

The summer season will end in early August. The hotel rates should go down for the rest of August. What dates are you looking for?

Compare 7/27 to 8/4 vs 8/10 to 8/18 , it’s really weird
