Late Jan / Early Feb - what's going on???

I'm just starting to plan a trip for this winter. Much to my surprise and dismay, room availability - particularly at the Swan/Dolphin, which are my first choice - already seems very limited. ??? I thought this was a low-volume time to visit? Is there some special event I'm not thinking of?

Any advice or guidance appreciated. This trip is a major milestone one (my 30th birthday), and we're going all out. Or trying to, anyway!

By the end of the month, the participants will be gone, but if you're looking for availability earlier in the week, it just won't be there.

In the past, IBM has used the week after Lotusphere for additional conferences, either internal or external.

Thank you, Bicker. I knew there had to be something big going on. That makes sense now. (Depressing sense, as it may mean I won't get to stay at the S/D, but sense nevertheless.)
