I assume that Disney's hours would be the one's to go by..since Disney and Deb's site don't match for late hours the week of Feb 20th?

And can it be, that MK is open until midnight on Wednesday..and it's late hour night? So it's open until 3 am??? Wow, what a hoot that would be, if I could stay awake. Anyone know for sure, if it stays open til 3? Good thing Thursday is a rest day.

If it's like the E-nights they used to have, they close the park to other guests 3 hours earlier.

That would be pretty cool, but my guess is with the park already open until midnight, they will either cancel the EMH for that night, or adjust the normal operating hours accordingly.

Thanks. I know how the late nights work..we've already been there when they've had them. I just wonder if anyone knows if they will be open til 3.

I thought I seen a post a couple of days ago, and someone checked the castmember site and they posted that MK would have evening EMH until 3am. I'm not sure if that has changed or not.

Where is the cast member site or message board?

Thanks.........

I think I read on the mouseplanet boards that the parks would be open until 3 because there was some comment hoping that the maintenance crew would be able to clean up in time for the morning crowds!

By the time my kids are old enough to last until 3 a.m. at MK, I'll be too old to stay up that late and enjoy it with them! For this trip, I'm hoping to make it until 10!

I'm hoping to stay up with the grand kids...but then, I'm a night owl. We'll prob join them later in the morning, so I can sleep in to make up for it.

Doris, I'll be there too but I'm not so sure I can stay up until 3a :earseek:

With some rental cars sold out for that week, I assume the crowds will be massive during Presidents week so that's why MK is open until midnight. And yes the extra hours would be after the regular hours end at midnight. Hope you have great weather and can enjoy the park until 3am!! I'd take a nap in the afternoon when the parks will be jammed and then be ready to party into the night.

How in the world do they get employees to work those hours?

I figure that's the only time we'll get to go on anything. We usually don't go during busy times, but it's the only time the grands could go. I think we've prepared ourselves for the crowds! If people can go Christmas week which is a 7, I guess we can go on 3's and 4's LOL!

What do you mean 3's and 4's? I thought President's week was a 10!

The following was posted on mouseplanet.com yesterday (probably what rkrivas is referring to):

Reeeeaally late night

Evening Extra Magic Hours sees their latest night yet since they were made permanent on January 2 when peak season hits for Presidents' Week. On Wednesday, February 23, the Magic Kingdom park closes to day guests at midnight, and the Extra Magic Hours keeps the park open for resort guests until 3:00 a.m. With the park opening at 9:00 the next morning, that gives the overnight crew less than six hours to get the park ship-shape. Let's hope that the late night guests don't make too much of a mess.

Wait, so is the 3 a.m. Magic Kingdom park closing (with EMH) definite? Or still just a mistake in the calendar? We were planning to go to the EMH anyway, but will definitely take advantage of that late night since we were planning to sleep in Thursday anyway... Do you think the park will be practically barren at those late hours considering the number of families with small children? I will keep my fingers crossed that the MK does stay open late :goodvibes

Not according to the unoffical guide. The actual holiday (if I can remember) was a 7, but not the rest of the week.
Yup, I found it..3's and 4's.

No matter what the "guide" says, a week in February that has midnite park closings at MK on Friday 18th, Sat 19th, Sun 20th, Mon 21st, Wed 23rd and 11pm closings on Tues 22nd, Thurs 24th, Fri 25th & Sat 26th means B-U-S-Y!!!

How do they know whether or not you are staying on property for EMH? Do you get a band like eride night?

You have to show your resort information and ID and you get a band that allows you to enjoy attractions during that time. However, as an AP holder we dont stay on property since we are there more, and like to save money.............know this................even if you don't stay on property and cannot get a band you can still hang in the park during this time. YOu don't have to leave and not enjoy the atmosphere. My wife and I liked going and just walking the park and sitting and enjoying the whole atmosphere.

Of course it does...but I'd still rather be going in on a "4" than a "7". I think I mentioned earlier that we expect it to be busy. But I'm betting it won't be as busy at 2 am! We go several times a year, and I have found the Unofficial Guide book to be pretty much right on the money. So let me hold onto the hope that "4" is good LOL.
We also won't get there until the holiday, Monday. The weekend before and the Monday look even busier.
