Late for an ADR?

I'm hoping someone can give me some advice on this as I'm left scratching my head. :confused3

Currently, I've got an ADR for California Grill at 5:55PM on December 20th but my problem is that I really want to see the Castle Dream Lights go on. I've read that in mid-late December this should be about 5:45?

Would it be possible to see the lights and then head to the ADR? Or would that really be pushing it? I've tried for an alternative time later in the night, but still nothing. How late is acceptable? Will the lights even run at 5:45?

Thank You!

You will be able to see the lights from Cali Grille. IMHO Cali Grille is such an awesome experience ( the view, the food ) that I would arrive EARLY and get a cocktail to take out on the viewing area, and watch the castle lights from there. Enjoying a glass of wine high above the MK and seeing the castle holiday lights is priceless.

It would be almost impossible to make the ressie on time.
I would go ahead and make the adr and watch from there. They usually only hold the reservation for 15 mins, but even then it isn't a guarantee.
