Looking for some info on late arrivals & DME. We are landing @ 11:50 pm. Wondering what the wait estimates might be on such late flights. We have done DME a ton for early arrival but never late. Thanks.

I’m not sure what you mean by wait estimates? The bus to resort line at that time? They’re empty. So we’ve done the red eye last time and again on upcoming trip for the night before arriving about midnight like you. You have to remember to not tag your bags and pick them up because ME won’t do the bag service for after like 10:30pm arrivals.

The bag claim is in the first terminal you land before you take the tram to second terminal floor 1 for ME.

We took a nap last time there at the terminal by ME. Think they said we had to wait about an hr for next bus to our resort which was no prob since we planned on a nap. Then hopped on a vacant bus to ourselves to hotel at about 3-4am, checked in, successfully requested a closer room, plus free FPs. And the room was ready ahead of time for napping before early RD. We just like to have that full first day.

The airport service at our hotel has recently changed times to 5am-1pm (was 6am-12 I think). Can drop your bags last day to be checked at the hotel airport service and also ask for boarding passes. Can ask for passes 24 hrs before departure but most of us are in the parks.

CM will tell you your ME pickup time for your last day if you call and ask while you’re giving them your flight info. Ours is 3 hrs and 20 min before our flight at MCO.

Because we like to squeeze every drop of time there, you can request to change this to 3hrs. But you have to save the ME number and call 24 hrs before.

Yeah I’m trying to estimate what time we would get to the resort. We are not checking luggage. We are going for 2 nights and have an 8:30 am ADR @ Garden Grill. Staying at BC. We may have to skip the DME and get a car service to bring us to the hotel.

They tell you about 45min. The travel time is less even at the super pokey speeds bus goes. It would be like less than 30 if you drove- you can google map the estimated time. But I allot an hr because you wait for bus, loading bags, sit there for a bit in case more riders.

If getting there night before, no trouble using ME to get to hotel, checking in, holding bags, and to an 8:30 ADR.

Generally not possible. Magical Express departure slots are 30 minutes apart. So the next sooner time to 3 hours 20 minutes is 2 hours 50 minutes. I do not recommend this because there may be additional DME pickup stops that together with abnormal wait time at airport security could make you miss your plane.

To squeeze more drops of time at Disney, skip your last meal at Disney and do a ride or two then. Eat that meal at the airport inside security during the time you would be twiddling your thumbs there given the original DME pickup at your resort.

They only made us wait like 40min because that driver was on break. But the buses run over night. You’ll be fine with ME

I've only done it once; landed at 12:15AM. Sat on the bus for about 10 minutes and then we were on our way.
