I am preparing to finalize my air and resort bookings for July 2005. My flight returning to Toronto will leave Orlando at 9 pm. Great to get that last day just sitting around the pool or picking up last minute things to take back home, but does anyone know whether there is a room available at any of the value resorts to keep your luggage for you while you wait. I think they call it a comp room. Sometimes you can have a room to shower etc. I realize that with Magic Express they will keep your bags after you check them, but that is only for domestic flights. What about the Canadian flights? Help please.
Thanks. ::MinnieMo

Hi and welcome!
I have never heard of a "comp room". You may ask for a later check-out something like a day before you leave. If they don't need your room they will give you some extra time, but not a lot. If you go past a certain time I understand you will be charged for half day. Upon check out all Disney resorts will store the luggage for guests who will be departing later in the day. There is no charge for this service. Since you are flying out so late you might want to consider an additional day in the parks. The new ticket plan makes it really reasonable to add additional days.

Hi Bbrydon,

I know what you mean, we had one when we were in Hawaii...I think they called it a hospitality suite. We sat by the pool after checking out then showered and dressed in the room before going to the airport.

You don't need to be doing Magical Express to have them hold your bags for you. We have often checked out in the morning and they hold your bags and give you a ticket like when you check in. When you ar eready to leave just bring your ticket to bell serives and you'll get your bags back.

Hope this helps!

We just ran into this problem last month...DW, DD and I stayed at a BW Studio and had a late flight (6pm I believe) on our last day...When i woke up I called the front desk to ask about a late checkout and they said that they do not do late checkouts at the Home Away from Home resorts...since my 13 month old daughter needs her afternoon nap, we weren't quite sure how we were going to make it through the day...so what I did was catch the housekeeper doing the rooms down the hall, and tipped her $20 bucks and asked her to do our room last...that gave us until about 3pm...it made life alot easier...so that could be one option...If you can stay in the room till 3 or so, then just leave your bags with the bellman at the front desk for the last few hours...

Thanks for your help. I couldn't remember the word, but you are right. It is a hospitality room. We have used them in the Caribbean many times, but I wasn't sure about Disney. Has anyone left their luggage upon checking out and then gone to use the pool for the day? I'm glad to hear that they will hold your bags for you.

Yes, we've done that several times in a few different WDW resorts. It is absolutely not a problem!

You can check your bags out and go to eat, swim, to a park (or a few parks), whatever you want to do. Then just come back for your bags when it is time to go to the airport.

Good luck!
