I know this has been asked before but I can't find the thread. Our flight was supposed to leave MCO at 12:30pm after the cruise. Now they've changed it to 3:30pm so we have an extra 3 hours. I have scheduled Yourride to pick us up at the port at 9am. Should I push back the pick up time and stay at the port for awhile? Is there stuff to do there? What about the airport? Anything to do there? I don't think 3 hours is enough time to go to DD. Thanks for your help. Linda

They move you out of port quickly.....so it's no use staying there. You can blow some time at the airport. There are shops to look at and rest. to eat at. You should be at the airport 2 hours early, so that means 1pm. We had rented a car and drove to Celebration and wandered around there in our free time. I don't know how Yourride does extra time...........

From what I saw of the port, there is nothing to do there.

Some of the ideas I've seen suggested renting a car at Avis (Radisson hotel) and going to the Space Center, or Downtown Disney. There is a lot to do at the Space Center, and it's expensive to get in.

We had a late flight when we cruised in September and took the DCL bus to MCO and got a day room at the Hyatt (approx. $60). Spent some time in the pool, had a quiet lunch and lounged around the room. I would definitely do it again if we had a late flight.... we were a lot more comfortable and relaxed doing that instead of just hanging around the airport.

I would keep your pick up time as is and asked to be dropped off at Downtown Disney. You should have plenty of time to shop until you need to go to the airport. You would then need a limo service to take you from DD to MCO or you could just rent a car from the port, do your shopping and then return it to MCO. We have done this several times and it worked out great.

mmouse37, We are a group of 7, 6 adults, 1 child. We would need a very big car. Oops! Just realized my daughter's flight leaves at 1 (her flight hasn't changed) so I guess we have to hang out at MCO. Thanks for the advice!

yes....that would make a big difference...and they actually do not have cars available that large because I checked. We are travelling 1/4 and we are a group of 8. I inquired about the large sized SUV's and they are not available at MCO thru Avis.

We are actually renting two cars on the way to the port and one van on the way home since we will be able to check our luggage at the port. Part of our group has a much earlier flight than the rest of us so will drop them off at MCO on our way to DD. Then catch our flight at 6:30 pm
