Late check out

Has anyone ever requested late check out and it was granted? How much later was it?

We've requested it 5 times and had it granted once. If you get late check out granted, the latest is 1:00PM.

It depends on how busy the resort is. As @dansdad stated, it is by far the exception not the rule. I agree 1 PM is the latest

We've requested it six times and it was granted four times. We've asked for noon and for 1pm check out times.

It all depends on whether or not they have your room slated for occupancy later that day. I have been very lucky to be able to keep my room until 5 PM. I always leave for home later in the day, usually a 9 PM flight, which means we leave on the Bad Bus (what I call the Magical Express) at 6. Having the room until 5 PM allows us to go to the park one more time, laze around the pool and really enjoy one more day. They do charge us an extra 75 dollars but it is worth it to us. When we check in we always express our desire to leave late on our day of departure. On the morning of our last day, we go immediately to the front desk and request the late departure. The manager has to check with the days bookings but as I said, we have been lucky these past 8 years to get the extension.

What resorts have given you a 6 hour check out extension for 75.00? Sounds like a deal, especially with a late flight.

Just as an FYI, you cannot get late checkout at the DVC resorts.
