Late Check out?

Our flight just got changed from 2pm to 4:45pm. We are staying at OKW and checking out Feb 1. Do they offer a "late checkout"? I thought I had read somewhere that you can request a 1pm checkout and they may allow you do it during the slower times of year. Has anyone had experience with this?

DVC resorts have a strict policy against late checkouts but you can try. I have attempted 2-3 times over the past few years with success but only after talking to many different people and practically coming to tears. I have a very medically-needy 13yr DD who is in diapers, fed through a tube in her stomach and requires oxygen at times. I've always maintained that it would be best to be able to get back to a room to get her changed and settled before we head off to the airport and our 3hr.flight back to Boston. Even under those circumstances, the BWV would not permit it (although the poor girl at the front desk who was just the messenger was near tears like I was!) It wasn't until I threatened to set up my daughter's tube feed and change her diaper in the lobby (since the BWV lobby restrooms don't have changing tables to accomodate a 50lb.child) that they finally agreed. So - good luck - you never know!

There is no late checkout offered at DVC Resorts.

You can, however, check availability and book the room for that last day so you can remain in it (though you will not be sleeping there that night obviously). Many have reported doing this in the past.

Otherwise, you will need to be out by 11 am. You can check your bags with Bell Services then and go enjoy the parks if you so desire till it is time for you to depart.

Sorry, no late check-out at any of the DVC resorts. There are always people waiting for their units.
