Late check out at POP?

We won't need to be to the airport for our flight home until about 5 PM. With an infant, we'd like to keep our room as long as possible. All the CM could tell me on the phone is that we have to see if we can get a late checkout when we check in and we might have to pay extra. I don't care if we have to pay extra, I just want to be assured we can check out late and I wouldn't even mind paying an extra night to keep the room that long.

Anyone ever do this or have more info on the policy?

Disney is NOT generous with late check outs. Thier idea of "late" is noon. Plus if it's busy they aren't going to be able to accomodate you.

I have paid to stay in a room and just left in the evening so I didn't use the room that night. So you could just extend your reservation one more night and then leave at 5.

Yeah, they are pretty strict with the 11AM checkout
You may have to pay for another night and leave at your desired time
