Late check-in, What to look out for

We have reservations for 2 sites beginning Easter Sunday, March 27. We probably won't get there before 7:00 p.m. Is there anything I need to do prior to leaving home? My biggest concerns are they give our sites to someone else, we don't get to be next to each other or worse, we wind up on 2 different loops. We have a Magical Gatherings reservation.

as long as your reservations are paid for they are yours. You don't show up, the site stays empty and you don't get a refund.
I would call FT Wilderness the day before you leave and tell them what you expect to happen and a reminder to them about your arrangement preference and it should work out OK.

02Camp,

I am not sure if you are bringing an RV or kids but getting in latr last year was a pain for us. We have 4 kids so that makes a big difference! We drove our RV and pulled in around 7pm (September). The site they gave us was surrounded in water so I called the front desk and she said where we could go and to pick a site in the other loop and let her know. We were crunched for time because the sun would be gone around 8pm and the kids were getting hungry. So even the little extra time of finding another site was using up precious setting up time! We ended up backing up the RV with very little light, hooking up everything and getting the rugrats something to eat. By the time everyone was in bed and we could sit down it was around midnight. We needed to be in MK in the morning because we had family meeting us there and a magical gathering wishes cruise that night.

Anyway...I say all that because this year I we will not drive it all in one day. The second day I would like to do the last 4-5 hours and arrive at FW around 1pm. That way we can relax and get everything set up nicely.
