We will be flying into MCO around 9:00 pm on a Friday night. Do I need to call POFQ & let them know that we probably won't be checking in until around 10 PM? How long do they hold your room open before they assume that you aren't going to show?

Thanks!

If you've made a deposit and/or paid for the whole room, they'll hold it all night. I still think it would be a good idea to call and have them note your room. That pretty much leaves no excuses for a screw up...

Because of flight delays, we didn't check into our room until about 2:30 A.M on our first "night" I had called ahead to let them know we would be after midnight. All was fine. we just had to wait until the next morning to purchase park tickets and update our passes to be able to do room charges.

Thanks so much guys! That makes me feel better. I think I will call a couple of days before just so they can note it on the reservation. I wouldn't be happy to get there & have to go round & round with the hotel!:p

One night, thanks to the weather, we didn't check in until 3:30am. And thanks to me getting air sick (also, I think, because of the weather), we never thought to call ahead. But no problem when we did finally stagger up to check in at that hour of the night...I mean, morning.

Thanks, Simba's Mom! That's a relief to know that even in the wee hours of the morning we'll be okay. And I must say what an awful way for your family to start a Disney trip! Hope next time is better!

The next time was better, thanks. This was back in 1994, and I was so scared to fly again -was I going to get sick again? Wouldn't you know, the next year, DH surprised me with my first solo trip and they seated me next to an unaccompanied child on the plane. I was too embarrassed to get sick with a child (who didn't seem at all nervous) next to me, and knowing that since I was alone I just "couldn't" get sick! That cured me!

Over the Memorial Day weekend in 2001 we were not scheduled to land at MCO until 9pm or so. I just had it noted on our reservation that we would probaly not be checking in until 11pm or so. We arrived about 11pm due to flight delays(I hate flying on Friday nights) and had no trouble checking in. Mara was till open and we grabbed a quick bite to eat and then went up to our room. Valet and Bell Services were very attentive and it did not seem to be any different then checking in around 2pm like we normally do.

Yea! Its such a relief to know its not going to be a big hassle! Thanks, Tiffany!
