Late Check In & ME

How does late check in and ME work? We don't arrive at the airport until 11:25pm. Would it make sense to grab our own luggage? At what time could we expect ME to deliver it? We are staying at CBR. Thanks.

ME transfers luggage from the airport as long as their are flights arriving. They typically will not deliver luggage after 11PM unless you call them and ask them to. I have had several very late flights and they always brought my luggage up, even at 2 in the morning, when I called and asked. Most of the time, your luggage will be available for delivery about 3 hours after your flight arrival time. I have had it be anywhere from 2-4 in the past.

This happened to us by accident due to flying problems. We were to arrive in Orlando at 11am and instead landed at 11pm. We had ME pick up our luggage due to we are a family of 5 and have 3 children. We also had been up for 21 hours and were exhausted. We got to the resort about 1hour after the plane landed and got to our room about 12:30. I called luggage service in the am around 7am and they said my luggage was there and hadn't arrived until 4:30am I think my luggage never got on the connecting plane in JFK, so I was very glad I didn't wait for my luggage. They delivered it to my room (all 5 pieces) in less then 10 minutes).

Lots of info. on this topic on the transportation board. Mostly advice to pack what you need for the next day in your carry on and let ME bring it to the resort whenever and to your room the next day. That's what I am going to do (our flight will get in at 10:30 PM)
