Late check-in at Saratoga Springs

Stayed at SSR on 11/1 and our room was not ready until 8 pm. I can be a little understanding and don’t normally lose my cool but this was ridiculous. Note to Disney: if they is an issue please tell your guests upfront. Don’t keep telling them it will be ready in 15 minutes and then 4 hours later finally have a room ready. It did seem like there was an issue with housekeeping and being race weekend things rolled downhill fast. They did end up refunding our entire amount of points for the night but it was still very frustrating. Anyone else have issues at SSR this week?

No, we were not at SSR this week (or Disney for that matter) but I understand your frustration. At least had you been informed you could have gone to one of the Parks or DS for dinner. At that point, while getting the points back is some compensation, it kind of starts your vacation off in a disappointing manner. We've only had that happen to us on one occasion, but it was only an hour or so late (they did comp us $100.00), still messed my plans up a little bit.

DVC check in starts at 4pm. Sometimes it is as late as 8pm it happens. While it isn't abnormal for it to be that late they shouldn't have lied to you.

I do think you were lucky to gets points refunded as this is not abnormal with DVC.

Our room was t ready until 9:30 pm at BLT. I thought that was pretty late. It was ok because our flight landed at 8:00pm, but I was surprised I wasn’t notified that it was ready earlier.
