Late Cape May ADR

We made ADR for Cape May for 8:30. They close at 9, will there still be fresh food at that time? Will they close the buffet at 9 and not put out anything else? Has anyone ate there this late? If so what was your experience?

I had a 7:45pm ADR that we didn't end up getting to til 8:10. Granted not quite as late as you. There weren't a ton of people in the restaurant so things weren't running out very quickly, but they did refill a few things over the course of us being there. I think there probably is a point where the kitchen slows down, and will eventually stop sending stuff out, but the way I see it is as long as they're offering an ADR that late, you should be able to get the full experience.

Thank you for your reply. So I think we'll be ok then. We still may change it though to an earlier time. We're not sure yet.

We went late once and it was only dh and I. They lost our adr and we waited forever.

By that time, our server looked really tired and wanted to go home, so drinks refills were slooow in coming. The carved meat only had like 2 end pieces left they were practically inedible.

While we love Cape May, I made our reservation earlier this time for May.
