Late Buffet Seating - Good or Bad Idea?

We have several ADRs for late buffet breakfasts ...

- 10:50am Chef Mickey's
- 10:35am Tusker House
- 10:35am Boma
- 10:55am Cape May Cafe

We wanted to have plenty of time to get there and quieter character breakfasts. We're not so sure about this strategy anymore after reading complaints about the quality and quantity of food at the tail-end of buffets.

Any thoughts on this? Good or bad idea?

Well that tough as you never know. I wouldn't go at the end of the buffet but sometimes it not really bad. Sometimes at very end they stop bringing new food out etc but I am sure if you wanted more eggs they would fix you some. How late? The last time you can get? I know once we went to Biergarden for dinner & there was leftovers from lunch which was cold or lukewarm. We just mention it to server & he went back & brought out a new tray of it. Good luck. It is less packed at times

We have a 10:30 at Crystal Palace but I've been thinking on the bright side... we'll get the end of breakfast and the beginning of lunch!popcorn::

Thanks for the tips and different perspective. I suppose it's best to go with the flow!

I did a 10 am one at Boma and it was still amazing

I did a 10:30 am one at 1900 PF and it was terrible

We had a late breakfast at Chef Mickeys, CRT and Tusker House and were fine at all three. Plenty of fresh food and good character interaction. We did not feel rushed at all.

our 10:40 at Holly & Vine were awesome
but our 10:30 at the old bfastasaurus were bad.
The good thing is everyone so busy taking pics with characters that the food almost wouldn't matter... :rotfl:
But if you're going strictly for food that might be iffy.

Honstly I think I would be afraid your getting the end of everything like whatever's left. Since they will be be closing soon your not going to get all the food like you would at an earlier time. But that's my opinion I never go late. I go early so I am not speaking as if I did just thinking about how I think it would work.

We did a late one at 1900 PF and while I don't remember the food (so it was probably fine) the character interaction was really bad.

The only one that would worry me is Cape May. Cape May isn't that popular and while they will start changing out food probably around 11:30am you will probably be left with the leftovers of the earlier breakfast.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. We are considering canceling this one anyway -- it'll be a rest day for us and we'll probably need it after two days at MK!

We'll definitely be taking pictures, but the food is still important ... must be decent at the minimum.
