Late Breakfast/Early Lunch QS Recommendations - monorail resorts & Epcot area?

On our next trip in February, we'll be staying on property again, most likely Pop Century. To take advantage of early resort entry hours means we'll be up and in line before the restaurant opens for breakfast. No big deal. We're all adults and older teens who can handle getting going on granola bars and room coffee for a while. But we were thinking about taking a break outside the parks for a late breakfast or early lunch. Our "kids" often need to take a sensory break and we will grab a DAS return time for a super popular ride and take the long break as far from the crowd as possible to decompress. So we figured why not try a meal break outside the park at that time? DS will need a ride on the monorail when we go to MK anyway. We're going to try for a Garden Grill rez when we go to Epcot, but maybe for an early dinner. We've never been to any of the monorail resorts, and it's been 20 years since DH and I have been to Epcot area resorts.

I'm GF and DX is a vegetarian. What recommendations do you have for us to try?

My favorite late breakfast / early lunch in the MK area are Steakhouse 71 at the Contemporary and Grand Floridian Cafe at the Grand Floridian. Lots of great breakfast and lunch dishes at both. Steakhouse 71 has a breakfast sampler that I often share w/my teen. There is a Vegetable Wellington at Steakhouse 71 that's excellent. Steakhouse 71 is on the first floor of the Contemporary, where The Wave used to be. No windows, but decor is so nice you hardly notice. GF Cafe has awesome breakfasts, benedicts, and a great potato casserole breakfast side dish. It's a beautiful "not fussy" restaurant with windows overlooking the GF grounds. I find the atmosphere of the Grand Floridian a nice calm change of pace from the parks.

For lunch you could take the boat to Wilderness Lodge and eat at Geyser Point.

On the monorail, Tonga Toast at Captain Cooks is fun for breakfast. Not exactly the same as Kona Cafe, but decent for QS.

Our QS go to is Capt Cooks at the Poly when at the MK. The pulled pork nachos are awesome. Then, we go right around the corner for a dessert from the Pineapple Lanai.
